Ay Maria Restaurant, located in the heart of San Pedro Tlaquepaque, is quickly earning a reputation for its vibrant culinary offerings and exceptional service. Patrons rave about the delightful goat stew, paired seamlessly with homemade tortillas—a dish that Michael Sundell describes as one of the best he enjoyed during his stay in Mexico. The establishment provides an inviting atmosphere, perfect for leisurely breakfasts or weekend gatherings, as noted by Arturo Magana and Jesus Godoy. The buffet is a crowd favorite, especially for those with hearty appetites seeking variety—as Andrea A discovered. Whether indulging in a gordita or a tamal de chicharron, diners appreciate the quality and authenticity of the food, which reflects the rich culinary traditions of the region. The beautiful decor and friendly service elevate the dining experience, making it feel personal and inviting. Tomasz Pisz's enthusiasm for the restaurant shines through his review, emphasizing the exceptional value for money and a desire to give more than five stars. Overall, Ay Maria Restaurant is not only a delightful culinary destination but also a must-visit for anyone wishing to savor the essence of Mexican cuisine while being treated with warmth and attentiveness.

Special of the day was a goat stew with homemade tortillas. One of the best meals I've had this entire week in Mexico. Wonderful service too! Highly recommended.

The food was so good I forgot to take a pic. If you love variety and come w an appetite get the buffet. I ordered a gordita and a tamal de chicharron to go. Sweet bread to go too. The place itself is beautiful ...

Ay Maria restaurante Mexicana in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco lives up to its name. The meals are prepared by Chef Sergio Gomez E. breakfast is buffet or a la carta. All are prepared with local ingredients from farmers and small ranches. They do close early at 6 p.m. however you can find their satelight restaurant Toreo at El Parian a block in the centro of Tlaquepaque. Procheco y disfruta la comida tipica.
